“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” — Psalm 56:3 (KJV)
Fear is something we all face. It shows up when we don’t know what the future holds, when our plans fall apart, or when life feels out of control. Fear can overwhelm us if we allow it to, but God offers us another way—the way of trust.
When we believe that God is good, we can learn to release our fears. His goodness doesn’t change based on our circumstances. Even in the valleys of life, God remains faithful, loving, and sovereign.
Choosing to trust His goodness means reminding ourselves that His plans are always for our ultimate good (Romans 8:28).
Releasing fear doesn’t mean we’ll never feel afraid. It means we respond differently when fear comes. Instead of letting anxiety take over, we lean on God’s promises:
When we anchor ourselves in these truths, fear begins to loosen its grip.
If you find yourself struggling with fear today, here are three steps to take:
Whatever fears you are holding on to, remember this: God is good, and you can trust Him. His goodness is greater than your fear, and His love is stronger than your worry. Rest in Him, and let His peace guard your heart today.
Heavenly Father, I release my fears into Your hands today. Help me to trust in Your goodness no matter what I face. Fill me with peace and remind me that You are always in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
